Fruit Flies- How to get rid of them!

Tired of fruits flies in the hot summer.

Tried of using insecticides all the time .

So where we. What did we do about it. After the rain and flood in Texas, and pest control coming over  few times. We decided to take the matter in our own hand.

SOLUTION

First we for our selves a hot shot no-pest strip. It does manage to keep those pest out. however still not satisfied. Still  fruit flies and green mosquitoes..

So after some research and talking to seniors and baby boomers, how did they survive when they didn’t have these fancy thing and we found the the magic solution.

All your need is a

1. Plate

2.  Vinegar

3. Dishwashing liquid

Voila. We kept one plate near the sink other next to the fruit. After few hours the fruits flies started to fall into our trap. the Vinegar, attracts the fruits flies, while the Dishwashing liquid keeps them from escaping. Try not to use the dishwashing liquid with lemon, for some reason it seems to be less effective.
